We'd been meaning to get this done for years, if I'm honest. The flat roof on the back extension has been there since the house was built in the late eighties, which tells you everything about how long it had been limping along. The extension itself is a funny old thing — a previous owner added it on, and it always felt like a bit of an afterthought, but it's where we spend most of our time now. Anyway, the roof on it had done its time. Mike from proven roofing came out, had a good look, and was very straight about what was needed. The crew that arrived were tidy, knew what they were doing, and had the whole thing stripped back and finished inside two days. The new surface looks the part entirely and the whole area feels properly weatherproofed for the first time in years. Price was fair, no messing around on extras. Would use them again without hesitation.

There's a particular relief that comes when a job you'd been quietly dreading turns out to be the least troublesome thing you've done all year. That's where I find myself having had Proven Roofers out to replace the guttering on our place near Macroom. We chose them over a couple of others on the basis of word-of-mouth from a neighbour, and I'd argue that instinct was well placed. Mike was straightforward from the first conversation — no overselling, no vagueness on cost. The crew were tidy, got on with it, and didnt leave us with the usual debris. In fairness, I expected something more drawn-out; instead it was done properly in a day. The difference in how the whole front of the house looks is more noticeable than I'd anticipated. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Neighbour used a lad from Macroom last year — still chasing him for a callback. Mike's crew showed up on time, stripped and replaced the shed roof in a day. Punctual. Tidy. No fuss. Only thing was the quote took a few days longer than expected. Wouldn't put me off using them again though.

Mike runs a tight operation — they show up, they do the work, and there's no chasing for updates. That kind of reliability is what matters when you're managing multiple sites. Would have no hesitation recommending them to anyone who values a contractor that dosn't mess you about.
